Rachael Wangari
Academic Lead and EY Practitioner
Certificate & Diploma in Early Childhood Development
Hello! My name is Rachael Muturi, and I am a lifelong learner and progressive educator who eagerly embraces opportunities for learning, reflection, and growth. My approach emphasizes self-direction through learner-driven pedagogy to nurture a love for learning. I also believe in the power of passion and purpose to inspire motivation and ambition as a lifelong learner.
I began my career as a volunteer and gradually developed a deep interest in nurturing young minds, which blossomed into a love for teaching the EYFS. I hold a certificate and diploma in early childhood development and have eight years of teaching experience in Montessori and Early Years Foundation Stage in Nairobi, Kenya. I'm passionate about building reading skills at a young age and supporting learners who are gifted differently. In my free time, I enjoy swimming and listening to music.
I believe learning should be joyful, meaningful, and engaging. As educators, our role is to curate resources, design experiences, and co-construct environments that empower learners to discover who they are. We should promote a culture where students learn how they learn best through experimentation and discovery.
This journey has been exciting, and I'm looking forward to fostering learning in Tanzania.
